Method of weaving fabrics with a low amount of weaving errors by eliminating weft parts with abnormalities

A textile (4) process removes faulty weft threads (22) that have been detected by a sensor and registered. After registration, the warp threads are deflected up or down as appropriate and the faulty weft thread is separated from the warp thread line by air suction, detached and removed to a collector station. Removal of faulty weft threads takes place without interrupting normal loom operation. The nature of the fault is e.g. a badly formed knot. On detection of the fault, the warp threads are deflected to prevent incorporation of the fault within the web. Also claimed is a commensurate weaving loom.
