PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a manufacturing method for stably obtaining a ceramic sheet 2a of good quality so that protruded parts constituting a large number of wrinkles present on the surface of the ceramic sheet do not come into contact with each other at their leading ends and the recessed parts present on the surface thereof are opened. SOLUTION: Clay 5 is applied on the upper surface of a rubber sheet 4 stretched as shown by Fig. (A) and the upper surface of the clay 5 is covered with a surface layer 6, which is made of a material burnt at the time of baking of the clay 5, as shown by Fig. (B). Subsequently, the rubber sheet 4 is shrunk to wrinkle the upper surface of the clay 5 and the surface layer 6. Thereafter, the clay 5 is baked while burning the surface layer 6 to remove the same to obtain the ceramic sheet 2a shown by Fig. (D). The direct contact of the leading ends of protruded parts constituting the wrinkles of the ceramic sheet with each other is prevented by the surface layer 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
