PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric pressure cooker by which stew cooking can easily be performed by taking advantage of the merit of pressure cooker by making it possible to automatically perform stew cooking continuously after pressure cooking. SOLUTION: This electric pressure cooker includes a pressure pot having a pressure-resistant structure, a heating means which heats and increases the pressure in the pressure pot, and a control means which controls the heating/pressure-increasing state in an internal pot by the heating means. In the electric pressure cooker, an automatic stew cooking menu for which at least two sets of cooking processes such as a high-pressure cooking process in which heat-cooking is performed under a high-pressure state wherein the temperature in the pressure pot is in a vicinity of a first temperature being higher than a specified temperature, and a stew cooking process in which stew cooking is performed in a vicinity of a second temperature being lower than the specified temperature are continued is provided. Then, the control means is constituted in a manner to properly control the heating means by a heating output or a heating time which are set in advance in response to each of the pressure cooking process and the stew cooking process when the automatic stew cooking menu is selected by a specified menu selecting means.
