PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for conveying an article which method is constituted so as to eliminate defects of conventional technologies and gives a step for properly positioning each article to a pocket. SOLUTION: This method for conveying an article (5) comprises a step for feeding the article (5) to a pocket (35) moving along a specified passage (P), a step for holding the article (5) with a suction hole (29) arranged along a plate (28) of the pocket (35), a step for carrying and feeding the article (5) and the pocket (35) along the passage (P), a step for releasing the article (5) from a positioning member (34) of the pocket (35) and pushing the article to the positioning member when the article (5) and the pocket (35) are forwarded, and a step for holding the article (5) on the plate (28) with the suction hole (29).
