ARTIFICIAL STONE COMPOSITION HAVING TEXTURES OF NATURAL STONES LIKE MARBLE AND GRANITE, COMPRISING BOTTOM ASH AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: Provided is a production method of artificial stone having textures of natural stones like marble and granite, high strength and lightweight by using bottom ash as aggregates. CONSTITUTION: The artificial stone composition comprises 18-45wt.% of cement such as portland cement or white portland cement, 30-65wt.% of bottom ash, as aggregates, in coal ash generated in steam power plants, 8-18wt.% of stone powder, 5-15wt.%(based on the amount of cement) of red mud generated from the production process of alumina for coloring of artificial stone, and 0.2-1.0wt.%(based on the amount of cement) of zinc stearate and 0.5-5.0wt.%(based on the amount of cement) of styrene butadiene latex for improving weather resistance and water resistance. The production method of artificial stones comprises the steps of: separating bottom ash contained in coal ash into sizes(0.1-25mm); mixing the above raw materials; adding water to the mixed composition to be a water/cement ratio of 0.40 to make a mortar at room temperature; pouring the mortar into a mold and vibration-pressing; natural curing formed products for 7-28days, cutting and polishing. The resultant artificial stones are used as floor material, curbstone or interior and exterior material.
