摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve adhesive strength of an adhesive layer by preventing cracks from propagating and moisture inside the adhesive layer from migrating. <P>SOLUTION: A ceramic honeycomb structure 1 composed of a plurality of porous honeycomb segments 2 bundled through an adhesive layers 3 is provided. Each porous honeycomb segment 2 has a plurality of axially running through-holes partitioned by partition walls. In the adhesive layer 3, a plurality of projections 4 formed on either of adherend surfaces 2a and 2b of two honeycomb segments 2, 2 facing each other are embedded. A crack appearing in the adhesive layer 3 stops growing when it reaches the projection 4, thus prevented from growing to a large crack. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p>
