<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission member having favorable optical transmitting property in the optical transmission part and little flare light, to provide a lens and a lens array having high resolution, and to provide a method for efficiently and easily allowing a light absorbent or the like to be present as mixed in a uniform concentration for suppressing the flare light in the optical transmission member or the peripheral part of the lens having the above performances. <P>SOLUTION: The optical transmission member is an index distribution type optical transmission member having a layer of a light absorbent or a light scattering agent in a uniform concentration in the region of a specified range within 100μm distance from the outer circumference face of the member. The index distribution type fiber is manufactured by concentrically depositing layers of N of cured materials having the refractive indices n<SB>1</SB>, n<SB>2</SB>to n<SB>N</SB>(N≥3) of cured materials after being cured, respectively, so as to form a fiber type uncured material with the refractive indices sequentially decreasing from the center to the outer circumference, and then by curing the laminate while or after the components between adjacent layers are diffused with each other so as to allow the distribution of the refractive index in the layers of the laminate to continuously vary. In this method, the laminate is formed as the light absorbent or the light scattering agent is mixed into at least one uncured material layer in the order of N/2-th or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
