<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that shortens time required for speed reduction. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an image forming means 14 having, for example, an electrifying charger 15 which electrifies the surface of a photoreceptor drum 13; a fixing roller 42 which fixes developer transferred to recording paper p; a motor M1 which rotates the fixing roller 42; and a control part S which controls the rotating speed of the motor M1.
