PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tactile sensor which can detect the surface shape of a contacting object and which can also detect the direction of the force received from the object. SOLUTION: Either of sensor cells arranged in a detection region includes opening parts 111a-111d and 112a-112d disposed so as to be unevenly distributed in the region of the sensor cells, at an upper electrode 105 around a protrusion 106. The sensor cell in which the variation state of the upper electrode 105 differs according to the direction of the force applied to the protrusion 106 is included in the arranged plurality of sensor cells.
