PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device that can surely reduce a potential at an output terminal and make a voltage between an input and on output to be at a specified level or below when the voltage therebetween is reversely biased, and can prevent a semiconductor integrated circuit from being damaged. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device is provided with a semiconductor circuit 11 and a protective circuit 14 that are connected in parallel between an input terminal and an output terminal. The protective circuit 14 is provided with a transistor Q<SB>1</SB>wherein an emitter is provided on the side of the output terminal and a collector is connected with ground through a resistance, a Zener diode ZD<SB>1</SB>wherein a anode is provided on the side of an input terminal between a base of the transistor Q<SB>1</SB>and the input terminal, and a diode D<SB>1</SB>wherein a cathode is provided on the side of the input terminal and that is connected in series with the Zener diode ZD<SB>1</SB>.
