<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and ensure the opening/closing function of the toner supply port of a toner cartridge which stores replenishment toner, to prevent a toner leak, and to reduce space and cost needed for the toner supply device. <P>SOLUTION: In the toner cartridge 21, a shutter 24 is provided with a leg 24a formed so as to run onto the bevel 25a of a shutter guide 25 after bending while sliding in a forward direction in order to open a toner supply port 23a. A stopper member 26b and a rib 27 are formed on the inside of a holder guide 26. The stopper member 26b comes into contact with the end of the shutter 24 in the forward direction upon insertion of the toner cartridge 21 into the holder guide 26, thereby sliding the shutter 24 in the forward direction. The rib 27 comes into contact with the end of the leg 24a upon draw of the toner cartridge 21 from the holder guide 26 and slides the shutter in the backward direction while applying downward force to the end of the leg 24a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
