PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball screw device for converting torque into thrust, or thrust into torque between a nut member and a screw shaft, capable of providing a gear device capable of transmitting torque to the nut member in easy constitution. SOLUTION: A bracket 10 of the gear device 26 is formed by press work, and on the bracket 10, nut holding parts 13 and 13a to be engaged with an end part outer circumferential surface of the nut member 31 are provided, and engagement parts 12 and 12a to be engaged with cut parts 32 in the nut member 31 to be applied are provided. In this low-cost and simple constitution, torque provided to a gear 20 in the gear device 26 can be securely transmitted to the nut member 31. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
