PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquefaction prevention device capable of preventing the occurrence of differential settlement in a structure even if the objective ground directly supports the structure through a foundation. SOLUTION: The liquefaction prevention device is equipped with a ground water level lowering means 1 for lowering the ground water level in the objective ground 10 directly supporting the structure 10a through the foundation to a target value while maintaining the surface of the ground water in approximately horizontal and a ground water level maintaining means 2 maintaining the lower ground water level in the target value by controlling the action of the ground water level lowering means 1. A differential settlement preventive means 3 for preventing the differential settlement of the structure 10a can be included by controlling the action of the ground water level lowering means 1. A restoring means 4 for restoring the lower ground water level is included, and the differential settlement preventive means 3 also can control the action of the restoring means 4 to prevent the differential settlement of the structure 10a.
