<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinates input device whereby various operation on a screen can be carried out where practicable with one finger, and the number of operations reduced thus giving a marked improvement in user operability. <P>SOLUTION: An operating condition when an operating surface installed in the coordinates input device is operated with the finger is read from a coordinate detector PD (Sa1). When an area for right button emulation on the operation face is tapped(lightly hit with the finger) (Sa2, Sa3), processing equivalent to right button click is executed (Sa6). Meanwhile, when an area for an easy X mode on the operating surface is tapped (Sa7), various processing is executed in the transition to an easy X mode (Sa10) . The processing includes processing to continuously tap an area for easy launcher to display a menu for application start, processing to slide the finger at the edge of the operation screen to scroll it in a window and processing to slide the finger on the operation screen from the central part to the oblique direction to enlarge or reduce the window. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
