PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a front or a rear spoiler composed of an output-dependent spoiler control provided additionally whereby a vehicle characteristics can be favorably adapted to a running status and a running request. SOLUTION: The method for controlling the front or rear spoilers is configured so that at least a revolution speed n, engine torque M, a temperature T, and a stopping time t<SB>stop</SB>are detected, an engine output PM required from the detected engine torque M is decided, and that the front or the rear spoiler is put out in the case the engine output exceeds a threshold SW capable of being set previously.
