<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economically advantageous method of manufacturing carbonyl difluoride. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing carbonyl difluoride is performed by reacting phosgene with hydrogen fluoride in a 1st reaction apparatus and removing carbonyl difluoride and hydrogen chloride from the obtained mixture of the carbonyl difluoride, hydrogen chloride and carbonyl chlorofluoride by distillation to produce carbonyl chlorofluoride as a 1st step, feeding the carbonyl chlorofluoride obtained in the 1st step to a 2nd reaction apparatus containing a catalyst to carry out disproportionation reaction and removing phosgene and carbonyl chlorofluoride from the resultant reaction mixture to recover carbonyl difluoride. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
