<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet transmitting device capable of realizing communication with high reliability by preventing a communication status from being disconnected even at the time of the occurrence of packet loss in packet transmission by a VoIP (voice over Internet protocol). <P>SOLUTION: This packet transmitting device is provided with a sound encoding part 1 for performing sound encoding of a sound band signal, a packet generating part 2 for receiving an encoded sound signal from the sound encoding part 1 and generating its packet, a redundant packet generating part 3 for receiving the encoded sound signal from the sound encoding part 1 and generating a redundant packet, a selector 5 for selecting one of the packet generating part 2 and the redundant packet generating part 3 as an output source to a transmission path side (transmission destination), and a facsimile signal detecting part 4 for detecting whether the sound band signal is the facsimile signal of facsimile communication being the preset data communication and controlling a selection destination of the selector 5 in accordance with this detection result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
