PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner which can improve the fixing rate and prevent low-temperature offset even when a crystalline resin is used. SOLUTION: The crystalline resin has a lower weight average molecular weight than that of a non-crystalline resin, and the ratio of (crystalline resin/binder resin) of the fine powder is set to be larger than the ratio of (crystalline resin/binder resin) of the whole toner, which means that the particle size of the toner having a high content of the crystalline resin is smaller. Thereby, fine powder of the crystalline resin in the toner particles easily enters the pores of paper fiber. As the crystalline resin in the fine powder has a low molecular weight, it melts faster by heating than other binder resins, namely, a crystalline resin of a large particle size and the non-crystalline resin. Therefore, the fine powder, namely, the toner having a smaller particle size easily and surely permeates into the paper in a relatively early period, and then, the binder resin in the toner having a larger particle size melts. Thus, the fixing rate can be improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
