<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a zeolite waste liquid and a sodium silicate waste liquid for effectively removing the waste liquids for which such treatment has been difficult. <P>SOLUTION: The method for treating the waste liquids which contain zeolite components (Na<SB>2</SB>O, Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, and SiO<SB>2</SB>), are the caustic soda solutions (sodium silicate-containing solutions) containing Si and Al of high concentration, further contain at least one of metal ions or compounds and have a pH of ≥10 includes: a reaction process of reacting the calcium ions of calcium chloride, the zeolite component and the sodium silicate component in the waste liquids to separate the zeolite component and the sodium silicate component; a hydrochloric acid reaction process of performing pH adjustment; a dehydration process of dehydrating the waste liquids after the pH adjustment; an oxidation treatment process of adding an inorganic mineral agent (TRP) to the dehydration filtrate, then aerating the filtrate to oxidize the metal or metal compound contained therein; a polyferric reaction process of adsorbing and fixing the metal or metal compound; and a solid-liquid separation process of subjecting the adsorbed and fixed metal or metal compound to solid-liquid separation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
