PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera in which one display part can be also used as a display device that a user directly watches or as an electronic view finder, further, control is simplified and operation is easy. SOLUTION: The camera is equipped with a display part 20 that is selectively located at an internal position inside a camera main body or at an external position outside the camera main body. When the display part 20 is located at the internal position, it constitutes the electronic view finder together with an optical finder system 60 provided within the camera main body. The display part 20 is supported so as to be turned by a carrier member 23 that linearly moves within the camera main body and when the display part 20 is located at the external position, it can be rotated relatively to the camera main body. When the display part 20 is positioned on a linear moving path of the carrier member, the display part is slid to the internal position and housed by being guided with the carrier member 23 and almost the entire display screen of the display part located at the internal position is observed through an optical finder system 40.
