PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine diagnosing device that goes beyond a role as an essential control object included in each sensor, pays attention to a signal component handled as noise, and determines irregularity/failure of a device constituting an engine different from a control object based on the signal component. SOLUTION: The engine diagnosing device comprises the engine and various sensors mounted to detect or control an operation state or a control state of the engine. The device related to an engine operation is driven based on a sensor signal to control at least one of an air amount, a fuel injection amount, ignition, and an engine state, and a signal component or a signal component section other than the essential control object of the signals detected by the sensors are used to determine irregularity or failure of the device related to the engine operation for generating the detected signal component.
