ANTIBODY PROTEIN FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF HELICOBACTER PYLORI INFECTION, EGGS CONTAINING THE SAME AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE: An egg containing antibody protein obtained from the egg-laying hen immunized with outer membrane protein of Helicobacter Pylori as an antigen is provided. The egg yolk has a large quantity of antibodies against specific outer membrane protein acting as a major Helicobacter pylori virulence factor, and the antibody separated from the egg yolk has excellent antibody potency and remarkably reduces urease activity. Therefore, the antibody is used in prevention and treatment of gastritis, stomach ulcers and duodenal ulcers caused by Helicobacter Pylori infection. CONSTITUTION: The antibody protein is prepared by the steps: (a) preparing a recombinant expression vector by inserting a DNA sequence encoding outer membrane protein of Helicobacter Pylori into a vector containing one or more expression control sequences which control the expression by operably being connected to the DNA sequence; (b) transforming a host with the recombinant expression vector; (c) expressing the DNA sequence by culturing the transformant; (d) crushing the transformant and recovering the outer membrane protein from the crushed material; (e) immunizing an egg-laying hen with the recovered outer membrane; and (f) allowing the immunized egg-laying hen to lay its egg; (g) separating an antibody from egg yolk.
