SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY PROCESSING CACHE FOR NETWORK FILE DATA REGARDLESS OF REMOTE FILE HANDLING PROTOCOLS

PURPOSE: A system and a method for automatically processing cache for network file data regardless of remote file handling protocols are provided to offer users with offline experiences equalized to each server type, and not to require changes for usual network components. CONSTITUTION: Redirectors(223-225) have the protocol discriminated from the protocol of other redirectors. A buffering service(232) buffers the file data for a network file and is connected to each redirector. A client-side caching mechanism(221) includes a client-side caching preprocess handler(226) and a client-side caching post-process handler(227). A multiple provider(230) receives a request for generating the network file and calls the client-side caching preprocess handler, one redirector, and the client-side caching post-process handler by responding to the request.
