The invention relates to a steering spindle arrangement having a first component remote from the steering wheel and a second component near the steering wheel, with one of the mutually facing ends of the one component dipping into the hollow end of the other component, and with the two ends being connected frictionally to each other. Furthermore, the invention concerns itself with a method for producing the arrangement. In order, in a simple manner, to obtain as specific a definition as possible of the absorption by the steering spindle of the deformation energy in the event of a crash while ensuring that the arrangement is durable and directly transmits the steering moment, it is proposed that the walls of the two ends lie directly on each other in the form of a press fit over the region of the frictional connection.
