<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input method of a shelf address capable of setting a shelf address(three items such as a shelf number, step number, and column order) at random. <P>SOLUTION: A merchandise code displayed at the display position of merchandise is read by a scanner, and any of propagating waves, such as ultrasonic waves, infrared rays and radio waves or some of those propagating waves are outputted, and the position to which the propagating waves are outputted is detected, and the shelf address of the merchandise is set based on the read merchandise code and the detected position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
