PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink feeding device which does not come in contact with a negative-pressure-controlling and ink-supplying mechanism. SOLUTION: The ink feeding device 10 for an ink-jet print head has an ink reservoir 14 for feeding ink 16 to the print head 12 with a slight negative pressure, and a pressure-controlling and ink-supplying mechanism 36. The mechanism 36 maintains a constant negative pressure in the reservoir 14, and supplies ink from an ink feeding source 30 to the reservoir 14 in an amount corresponding to the fed amount. The pressure-controlling and ink-supplying mechanism 36 includes a compliant pressure controlling member 32 which covers the opening of the reservoir 14 in an air-tight manner and substantially maintains a constant negative pressure in the reservoir 14, and a supply activator 36. The supply activator 36 is connected to the pressure controlling member 32 positioned outside the reservoir 14 and does not come in contact with the ink 16.
