A slide portable terminal allowing two casings to be slid on each other and allowing specified parts mounted on one casing to be mounted thereon without being restricted by the thickness of the one casing, comprising the mutually slidable upper casing (1) and lower casing (2), wherein the upper casing and the lower casing are brought into either of a closed state in which the upper casing (1) and the lower casing (2) are generally overlapped with each other and an open state in which the upper casing (1) in the closed state is slid relative to the lower casing (2). The upper casing (1) includes a camera part (6) having a portion projected to the lower casing (2) side and the remaining portion buried in the upper casing (1) and the lower casing (2) further comprising a recessed part capable of storing the projected part of the camera part (6) when the portable terminal is brought into a closed state from an open state.
