PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make determinable the degree of connection failure between conductive rubber connectors 6 and electrode parts 5a on a circuit board 5 to enable modification work to be performed according to the state of the connection. SOLUTION: This control unit 2 is provided with a micro processor 7 having A/D ports 7b for receiving the input of signals which change according to the state of connection between the electrode parts 5a on the circuit board 5 and the conductive rubber connectors 6 at the presence of input operation at an input part 3. The input part 3 is formed by arranging key switches 1-32 in a grid shape, and the conductive rubber connectors 6 are made of connectors 1G-12G corresponding to each row and column of the key switches 1-32. The microprocessor 7 determines whether the state of connection between the connectors and the electrode parts 5a corresponding to each key switch is at the level of non-defective items or of defective items according to A/D conversion values of the input signals and creates display signals indicating rows or columns of the connectors of which the state of connection is determined as at the level of defective items.
