PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic lock device for a storage box with wings of a type that releases the lock of dead bolt in a simple manner by one-touch operation, i.e., by pushing wings in the closing direction, and therefore has no need to provide lock release holes at the box body. SOLUTION: The automatic lock device for a storage box with wings is provided with a lock device body 1 installed on either within the box body 3 or at one of the internal sides of wings 5 pivotally mounted at the box body 3, a bracket 40 installed within the box body or at the other internal side of wings 5, and a dead bolt 16 kept at an unlock position A disengaged from the bracket 40 at normal time but upon shaking of the box body 3, protruding to the lock position B to engage with the bracket 40 in order to prevent the opening of wings 5. It is further characterized by a lock release mechanism 63 that pushes back the dead bolt 16 to the unlock position A by moving the wings 5 in the direction of further closing them from the state of the dead bolt 16 being engaged with the bracket 40.
