<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a fuel cell stack using alkaline aqueous solution of metal hydride complex compound from leakage of fuel. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell stack composed by laminating a plurality of unit cells formed by pinching a polyelectrolyte membrane with a fuel electrode and an oxidant electrode through a gasket and a separator and using alkaline aqueous solution of metal hydride complex compound as fuel, the separator is made of metal, and the gasket is made of silicone rubber. In this case, since the silicone rubber with its strong elasticity is closely adhered to the separator, the fuel with a weak surface tension can be sealed even if the alkaline solution of the metal hydride complex compound is used as the fuel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
