PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cool high-temperature coil (coolant) after a rotary electric machine is cooled, and to realize reduction in the size of an oil cooler and pressure loss. SOLUTION: A stator 3 and a rotor 4 are coaxially arranged in a housing 2. The end walls 6a and 6b of the housing 2 are positioned on both sides of the stator 3 and the rotor 4 in the axial direction and form internal spaces 8a and 8b. Main coolant is let in through either of the spaces and let out through the other. A cooling jacket 11 in the end wall 6b is provided inside the internal space 8a, and auxiliary coolant is circulated through the inside of the end wall 6b where the main coolant moved in the axial direction rushes.
