PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic fluorescent material or charge transporting material reduced in crystallinity and sublimableness and improved in solubility to solvent and capable of film formation such as for EL device light-emitting layer by wet system rather than dry system. SOLUTION: A boric acid-based compound of general formula(1) is provided.
