PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dampening roller, which can feed a uniform amount of water to the surface of a printing plate and can form a uniform dampening water film on the surface of the printing plate. SOLUTION: The dampening roller includes a rod-like or tubular support 102 and a resin molding 104 arranged coaxially on the outer peripheral side of the support. The resin molding 104 is formed by cast-polymerizing a polymerizable monomer or its oligomer under the condition that porous aluminum formed through electrolytic oxidation is employed as a mold.
