PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage comparator capable of a high-speed operation with less erroneous comparisons and hysteresis. SOLUTION: The voltage comparator comprises: MOS transistors 2 and 3, a resistance element 8 and a resistance element 9 constituting a differential amplifier circuit; MOS transistors 6 and 7 for positively feeding back and amplifying a differential voltage; MOS transistors 4, 5, 10 and 11 for switching for switching a positive feedback amplification operation and a differential amplification operation; a first voltage control means connected to a node C provided between the MOS transistors 6 and 7 and the MOS transistors 10 and 11 for switching for suppressing the voltage rise of the node C at the time of starting a positive feedback operation; a second voltage control means for suppressing the voltage rise of the node C during a differential amplification operation period; a MOS transistor 19 provided between output parts; and a third voltage control means for temporarily conducting the MOS transistor 19 for connection during the differential amplification operation.
