METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLY-N-ACETYLLACTOSAMINE DERIVATIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a poly-N-acetyllactosamine derivative, by which the poly-N-acetyllactosamine derivative having a structure comprising repeatedly bound N-acetyllactosame units can efficiently be produced at a low cost. SOLUTION: This method for producing the poly-N-acetyllactosamine derivative represented by formula (2) is characterized by treating a trisaccharide represented by formula (1) or its derivative as a donor substrate and a receptor substrate with endo-β-galactosidase by the transfer reaction of the enzyme. The endo-β-galactosidase is preferably endo-β-galactosidase originated from a microorganism belonging to the genus Esherichia. It is preferable to treat the trisaccharide or its derivative with the endo-β-galactosidase in the coexistence of bovine serum albumin. Further, it is preferable to treat the trisaccharide or its derivative with the endo-β-galactosidase in a buffer solution containing 30 to 500μg/mL of the bovine serum albumin.
