<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an anti-tumor agent which is a plant component, has high anti-tumor activity, and reduces side effects. <P>SOLUTION: This anti-tumor agent comprises a dry pulverized product of a plant belonging to Meliaceae, i.e., leaves, stems, branches, bark, and berries of Melia azedarach or an extract thereof with water or an organic solvent such as ethyl acetate, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, dichloroethane, methanol, ethanol, (iso)propyl alcohol, butanol, acetone, and DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
