<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excessive current from flowing to an output circuit when short-circuiting occurs between an output terminal and a power supply terminal or a ground terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A capacitive load driving circuit is equipped with an output circuit 21 having a power supply terminal 17, a ground terminal 18, and an output terminal 16 to which a capacitive load CL is connected, and selectively performs a charging current supply operation for supplying a charging current from the power supply terminal 17 to the capacitive load CL in accordance with the state of a load control input signal S1 and a discharging current pull-out operation for pulling out a discharging current from the capacitive load CL to the ground terminal 18. An overcharging current prevention switch 61 is provided to stop or suppress the charging current supply operation by detecting the short-circuiting between the output terminal 16 and the ground terminal 18. Further, an over-discharging current prevention switch 71 is provided to stop or suppress the discharging current pull-out operation by detecting the short-circuiting between the output terminal 16 and the power supply terminal 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
