PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition which is excellent in workability and gives a cured epoxy resin product excellent in thermal and mechanical properties. SOLUTION: The epoxy resin composition essentially consists of a polyfunctional epoxy compound represented by formula (1), an epoxy resin having higher viscosity than the polyfunctional epoxy resin or being solid, and an epoxy resin curing agent or a curing catalyst. The content of the polyfunctional epoxy compound is 10 to 85 wt.% of the composition. The cured epoxy resin product is obtained by curing the epoxy resin composition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
