PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material excellent in transportability and photographic performance in image formation. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material includes on a support an image forming layer containing a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder and a non-photosensitive layer, wherein the non-photosensitive layer contains a compound represented by formula (L): R<SP>01</SP>L<SP>01</SP>X<SP>01</SP>, wherein R<SP>01</SP>represents a 16-50C alkyl or alkenyl; L<SP>01</SP>represents a divalent linking group or a single bond; and X<SP>01</SP>represents a monovalent cation or H.
