PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate general users of ships for grasping information on weather / maritime meteorology, by changing the display of the information on weather / maritime meteorology by a string of alphanumeric characters. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a receiver 10 for receiving an intermediate-wave beacon signal for broadcasting to vessels information on weather / hydrographic conditions, described by a string of alphanumeric characters along with DGPS correction information, and a display 50 for displaying the information on weather / maritime meteorology in the intermediate-wave beacon signal received by the receiver 10. In addition, the device is provided with a notation contrast list 40, where notation conversion rules 41-44 for notation-converting the information on weather / maritime meteorology in the intermediate-wave beacon signal received by the receiver 10 into a string of Kanji Kana characters are stored; and a computer 20 which extracts the information on weather / maritime meteorology from the intermediate-wave beacon signal received by the receiver 10, notation-converts the extracted information on weather / maritime meteorology into a string of Kanji Kana characters in accordance with the rules 41-44 of the list 40, and makes the display 50 display the information on weather / maritime meteorology notation-converted into the string of Kanji Kana characters.
