<p>Blood sugar measurement implant has exposed glucose oxidase or other reaction medium for the blood or intercellular fluids in the patient. The reagent mixes with the body fluids for the blood sugar concentration to be evaluated by optical, photo-chemical or electronic means, giving a very frequent and practically continuous glucose concentration measurement. Measurements are transmitted via wireless to an external receiver by induction or radio signals. The housing (a) contains a supply container (b) with a rotating divider to the disposal container, a magnet and impeller piston (c), micro-capsules of reagent (d), a reaction chamber (e) and a sensor (f). A disposal container (g) has a rotating divider to the supply container, a processor and transceiver module as an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) (h), and a battery (i).</p> |
