<p>A display device that realizes a support structure with excellent operability and aesthetic appearance. A slide bracket (300) is provided in a liftable and lowerable manner on a strut (210) of a stand portion (200). A display panel portion (100) and the slide bracket (300) are connected by a hinge portion (310). The strut (210) is provided with rack members (230A, 230B), and gears (340A, 340B) provided on the slide bracket (300) mesh with the rack members. A friction ring (390) provided in the device applies friction force to a rotational movement of the gears (340A, 340B) so that the slide bracket (300) is held at a desired height of the strut (210). A spiral spring (370) is assembled between the gears (340A, 340B) and the slide bracket (300), and the spiral spring (370) is received in a drum (360). The spiral spring (370) applies, through urging by the gears (340A, 340B) in their rotational direction, urging force in a lifting direction of the slide bracket (300).</p> |
