PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To draw the wavy hair straight without damaging the hair, and to maintain the straight condition for a long time. SOLUTION: This steam hair setter is provided with a built-in steam generating mechanism 2, and bristles 17 are arranged near a steam injection hole 12 for injecting the steam. Presser plates 16 are provided to pinch the hair from both sides with a surface nearly vertical against the rising direction of the bristles 17. The surface formed with the steam injection hole 12 is set at the same position or a lower position than the surface formed by the presser plate 16 to press the hair to be formed.
