<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the risk of virus infection by detecting computer virus included in data received through the network in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A controller 102 receives the data from a terminal device 101 through the network and detects whether the computer virus is included in the received data.When the computer virus is detected, the information showing the transmitting origin which has transmitted data is acquired, and the information showing the acquired transmitting origin is stored.
