<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming system in which the time required for transferring data to a second image forming apparatus and a labor required for fetching a printed matter are eliminated when a user release an error within a set time. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming system having an alternative print function where a host apparatus 100 generating print data and a plurality of image forming apparatus 200 are connected with a network 300, the image forming apparatus 200 has such a function as storing image forming apparatus performing alternative printing in a storage means 203 while giving a priority previously, informing an image forming apparatus actually performed printing to the host apparatus 100 or an operation display means 205, and setting the operation display means 205 to perform alternative printing only when an error is not released upon elapsing a predetermined time after occurrence thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
