<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an image by using a combination of a developer having a property controlled coefficient of dynamic friction of a toner influenced by surface wax with a process optimum for the developer, so as to suppress uneven wear of a photoreceptor with time in an image forming system ataining cost reductin and space saving. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with at least: a photoreceptor; an electrostatic latent image forming means; a developing means to develop an electrostatic latent image with a developer containing toner to form a visible image; a transferring means; a cleaning means to remove the developer remaining on the surface of the photoreceptor; and a detecting means of the developer amount to detect the amount of the developer depositing on the photoreceptor surface by means of a reflective photo sensor. The stirring time of the developer per one copy sheet when one original sheet is copied into one sheet is 2 to 6 times as long as the stirring time of the developer per one copy sheet when one original sheet is copied into two or more sheets. The toner contains at least a binder resin and wax, and the coefficient of dynamic friction of the wax is 0.15 to 0.45. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
