<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fired body hardly being shrunk at the firing time, and to provide a ceramic porous body, which consists of the fired body and is used for a filter. <P>SOLUTION: The fired body is made by firing a basis material of a body containing 27-80 wt.% alumina, 15-70 wt.% feldspar and 3-40 wt.% calcareous raw material at ≥1,230°C and exhibits ≤1% coefficient of linear shrinkage. The ceramic porous body is obtained by making the body into slurry, impregnating a dissipating porous body with the slurry, drying and firing to burn the dissipating porous body. The calcareous raw material is selected from dolomite, limestone and wollastonite. The fired body contains anorthite separated by the firing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
