PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a service life of a bellows long even if the pressure of an insulation medium gas is increased. SOLUTION: A vacuum interrupter 101A is disposed in an insulation medium gas G. When the medium gas G is replaced with a substitutional gas (air, nitrogen or the like), the gas pressure is increased (two atm or higher). In order to prevent the bellows 111 from causing buckling or the like by the high-pressure medium gas G, the bellows 111 is so mounted that its inside surface is exposed to a vacuum space of a vacuum vessel 105, and its outside surface is exposed to the high-pressure medium gas G. That is to say, the bellows 111 is disposed outside a movable-side end plate 104, its one end side is connected to the end plate 104 and the other end side thereof is airtightly connected to a movable lead 108. Thereby, pressure acts on the inner periphery side of the bellows 111 from the outer periphery side by the pressure difference of the gas, but the bellows 111 has bearing force against force in this direction, so that buckling or the like never occurs and the long service life thereof can be kept.
