The electrical motor has a pair of sliding contact brush elements that engage the commutator. The brushes [22] are mounted on spring clips [16] that are held open during assembly and are fixed to an end cap [12]. As the cap is moved into position the brushes engage a release element that allows them to engage the surface of the commutator.
