PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifouling coating composition which forms a coating film capable of maintaining an excellent antifouling effect for a long time without deterioration of self-polishing properties even in seawater of a relatively high temperature and which is desirable from environmental viewpoints. SOLUTION: The antifouling coating composition contains a metal-containing resin (A) containing at least one metal selected from the group consisting of zinc, copper, magnesium and calcium, a compound (B) represented by general formula (I) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>3</SP>are each an alkyl group or an alkoxy group; R<SP>4</SP>is an alkyl group; and n is an integer of 1 to 15), and copper suboxide (C).
